The Knowledge Hurdle
Discovering something new is exciting. "This changes everything" or does it? Sometimes, new discoveries are world changing, but still it takes time for that to diffuse. Even with the most brilliant new discovery, things still take a while to change. The awareness, learning, trusting and adopting (ALTA) cycle is still based on the human brain. At this time, artificial intelligence is good at synthesizing data, but it is not great at persuading or reassuring people. On the surface, the desire for new information is high, but in practice there is a pretty big hurdle to get over.
