Invisibility and Believability

It is easy to be fooled by our own eyes, but at the same time you are more likely to believe things that you can see. Yet data is often unseen and the rules that govern data use are usually pretty abstract.

Tools that visualize data exist, but they are a representation of data. The underlying data and sources are largely invisible.

Digital information goes into a database somewhere where it is stored with other like information.

What happens next depends on how much you believe the data.
