Imminent Domain

Data Culture

Having data is better than having no data except if the data that you have is unreliable. In the effort to get more data, more unreliable data seeps in and contaminates the data pool.

The question is how do you get data that you trust?

Data is frequently used to manipulate and control emotions. This leads to all kinds of bad data being generated.

The incentives to create bad data are strong and the barriers to bad data are quite low.

We live in a supposedly data driven culture, so it is not surprising that there is so much manipulation of data.
