Complicating Everything

Every bit of data makes every thing more complicated. In some instances, more data is helpful. But is it worth the cost of complexity? There is no denying that reality is complex. The more data that you add, the closer you come to mapping a reality. Is it the reality that matters or is it an accurate representation of a version of reality that doesn't really matter? This is virtually impossible to know in advance, because randomness happens in even the best models.
